Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Business Analyst/Business Systems Analyst for our insurance sector client in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. You will partner with business and IT teams to gather requirements, translate them into functional specs, and ensure effective delivery across the project lifecycle.

The role demands strong stakeholder management, SDLC understanding, and excellent communication in English and Mandarin, with Cantonese a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, BIS or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of Business Analyst experience.
• Experience in Financial Services or Healthcare; insurance preferred.
• Strong requirements elicitation, business process analysis and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of SDLC and project delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2-4 years of Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst experience.
• Experience working within Financial Services (Banking, Insurance) or Healthcare environments; insurance industry experience is highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience in requirement elicitation, business process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex situations and recommend effective solutions.
• Experience supporting product launches, system enhancements, change requests, and production incident management.
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project delivery methodologies.
• Basic understanding of application systems and programming concepts to facilitate communication with technical teams.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; Cantonese proficiency is an advantage.
• Experience with insurance products and end-to-end new business processes, including frontend sales platforms and backend operations, would be a strong advantage.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Hong Kong permanent residency or valid Hong Kong work authorization is preferred.
