Building Services Coordinator / Assistant Building Services Coordinator

About the role

Jetline Construction Co., Limited is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Building Services Coordinator or Assistant Building Services Coordinator to join our team in Hong Kong SAR. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless coordination and management of building services systems across our construction projects. The Building Services Coordinator will be responsible for liaising between design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are properly integrated, installed, and commissioned in accordance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. This position is essential to maintaining project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols on our construction sites.

Key responsibilities

Coordinate and oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems

Liaise with design engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure alignment on technical specifications and project requirements

Review and analyse technical drawings, specifications, and schedules to identify potential conflicts or discrepancies

Monitor progress of building services installations against project timelines and budgets

Conduct site inspections and produce detailed reports on the status of building services works

Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including as-built drawings, test certificates, and commissioning records

Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle

Support the resolution of technical issues and coordinate remedial works when necessary

Assist in the preparation of project schedules and resource planning for building services activities

Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders and provide regular progress updates

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related engineering discipline

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration in building construction

Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards applicable in Hong Kong

Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Experience with project management software and Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools is advantageous

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Strong organisational and time management abilities with meticulous attention to detail

Problem‑solving mindset with the capability to identify and address technical challenges proactively

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced construction environment

Previous experience in a construction coordination or engineering role is preferred
