About the Role

The role sits within the Sports Business Division, which supports the Club’s aspiration to become a globally recognised sports and entertainment brand with world-class horse racing at its core. The Division focuses on sustainable growth of the sports business, deeper customer engagement and positioning the Club as a leading global sports and entertainment brand. The role involves interpreting user requirements, defining test strategy, conducting user acceptance testing and developing automation tools to support business features and enhancements. It collaborates with business stakeholders across Channel, BOCC, Football Wagering and Broadcasting, ensuring delivery aligns with user requirements and betting rules.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret user requirements and comprehend systems documentation on new business features and enhancements.
• Define test strategy and objectives, and develop appropriate test cases for execution under physical or virtual testing environments.
• Conduct user acceptance testing to validate that enhancements are incorporated according to user requirements and fit for user and business operations, and prepare test reports.
• Develop and maintain automation tools for user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, including Channel, BOCC, Football Wagering and Broadcasting users, on environment and testing support to satisfy testing and familiarisation purposes.
• Ensure UAT is conducted so that system and product delivery align with user requirements and HKJC Betting Rules.
• Ensure compliance with the Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, protecting the integrity of the Club’s businesses.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by line managers.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in computer science or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 5 years of solid working experience in the testing field.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation and problem-solving skills with mature business acumen.
• Less experience will be considered for a lower-grade position.

Preferred Skills

• Computational background with experience in Python, XML, Visual Basic, Java and C.
