Job summary

Bank of Singapore Limited is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance programs in Hong Kong, ensuring an ethical and legally compliant business culture across the Bank.

You will monitor HKMA and SFC requirements, conduct self-assessments, review marketing materials, handle licensing applications, and provide compliance training to staff.

The role requires a university degree, at least 5 years in Hong Kong banking compliance, and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• University degree, preferably with relevant academic qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of Hong Kong banking compliance experience.
• Knowledge of HKMA / SFC regulatory requirements.
• HKIB Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement compliance efforts for the Bank and promote an ethical, compliant culture.
• Keep abreast of HK regulatory requirements and implement them across business units.
• Conduct HKMA self-assessments and surveys (Code of Banking Practice, Deposit Protection Scheme, OTC derivatives margin, IT security).
• Review Marketing Materials before insurance.
• Handle CE/ACE applications and regulator enquiries (SFC s181, s182).
• Review cross-border guidelines with legal counsel and Head Office.
• Actively participate in operating committees to provide compliance advice.
• Prepare compliance reports for Head Office in Singapore.
• Provide Compliance Training.
