PFCC Group's client, a premier digital banking group, is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to help design and scale modern cloud-native systems. You will work on microservices, RESTful APIs, and secure platforms that power digital banking.

You’ll own end-to-end development—from coding in Java or Kotlin to CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and a strong focus on testing will be essential to deliver reliable services at scale.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Architect & Innovate: Build, scale, and continuously optimize backend systems within a modern, cloud-native microservice architecture.
• Connect the Core: Design, deploy, and maintain robust RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices.
• Scale with Confidence: Leverage event streams, relational databases, containers, and orchestration platforms to ensure services are highly reliable, scalable, and secure.
• Champion Quality: Write clean, maintainable code backed by rigorous automated testing practices.
• Own the Lifecycle: Take full end-to-end accountability for your code—driving CI/CD implementations, monitoring production health, and actively managing incident response to ensure seamless system performance.

What You Bring:

• Deep, hands-on expertise coding in Java or Kotlin.
• A strong conceptual and practical understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservice design.
• Proven ability to design bulletproof APIs with a strict focus on backward compatibility and comprehensive testing (both unit and integration).
• Hands-on experience navigating modern cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and container platforms.
• A strong ownership mindset for production operations and system reliability.
• Clear, direct communication skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
