Job summary

TEKsystems in Hong Kong is forming a squad to build a new customer-facing digital channel for fintech services. You will work on web and mobile-web platforms with embedded banking experiences across partners.

The role focuses on delivering production-ready features, collaborating with Product, UX/UI, and Engineering, and exploring AI-enabled capabilities to enhance onboarding and customer journeys.

Qualifications

• Experience building customer-facing platforms with a sizable user base.
• Strong frontend engineering with React and Next.js.
• Hands-on with microservices and APIs and production systems.
• Familiarity with TDD and automated testing.
• Experience in FinTech, embedded finance or banking partnerships.
• Ability to challenge design/UX decisions and own features end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Build a new mobile-first web channel for digital onboarding.

Build the Next FinTech Experience | Multiple Frontend & Backend Engineers

What if the next product you build isn't another internal system, but a new customer-facing digital channel connecting financial services, onboarding and embedded banking experiences?

A leading FinTech / Financial Services organisation is putting together a new engineering squad to build a web and mobile-web platform supporting its next stage of digital growth.

The team is working on an exciting partnership model where banking and onboarding journeys can be embedded directly into a partner's digital experience.

Think high user volumes, real customers, complex integrations and something that actually goes into production.

What you'll be building

The team will work across two key areas:

• B2B digital onboarding, creating seamless web journeys that bring customers from partner platforms into the financial ecosystem


• Embedded finance partnerships, integrating onboarding and banking services directly within non-bank financial platforms


• Developing a new mobile-first web channel


• Taking products from design and development through to live production


• Working closely with Product, UX/UI and Engineering teams to challenge ideas and improve the customer journey


• Exploring opportunities to incorporate AI capabilities into the digital experience

We're looking for 6 Engineers

• 2 x Frontend Engineers


• Strong commercial experience with React & Next.js


• Experience building customer-facing platforms with a sizable user base


• Comfortable working on complex digital journeys and mobile-responsive web applications


• Able to work closely with and challenge design / UX decisions, rather than simply implementing designs


• Track record of delivering features into production


• Strong Java & Spring Boot experience


• Hands-on experience building microservices and APIs


• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD)


• Kotlin experience would be highly valuable


• Experience delivering scalable production applications within FinTech, banking or another complex environment


• Experience with AI-enabled products, digital onboarding, embedded finance, banking platforms, high-volume consumer applications or FinTech partnerships.

This isn't a maintenance role.

You'll join a focused engineering squad tasked with building a new digital channel from the ground up, supporting strategic partnerships and creating new ways of acquiring and onboarding customers.
