Job summary

Leigh & Orange Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking a specialist with an Architecture background to integrate sustainable design logic into architectural schemes, project design coordination, and client sustainable concept delivery.

You will drive low-carbon, eco-friendly, and high-performance sustainable project delivery, support the company’s ESG strategy, and collaborate with clients, certification bodies, and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Building or Architecture or related discipline.
• 5+ years of sustainability consultancy or green building experience.
• BEAM Pro / LEED AP / WELL AP highly desirable.
• Proven experience in green building certification and carbon assessment.
• Proficient in Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop and climate simulations.
• Strong analytical skills; coding/data analysis capability is an advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua fluency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support formulating sustainable design standards and low-carbon guidelines.
• Lead BEAM Plus, LEED, WELL certification submissions from strategy to final certification.
• Provide sustainability consulting and technical support across offices and projects.
• Collect and interpret policies; update internal technical databases and train teams.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, cert bodies to ensure project quality and progress.
• Assist ESG report implementation and bid support for green projects.
• Research frontier sustainable architecture technologies and promote innovation.

Job description

We are recruiting a specialist with professional backgrounds to cover full-scenario sustainable architecture services with Architecture background to integrate sustainable design logic into architectural scheme design, project design coordination and client sustainable concept delivery. This role collaborate closely to drive low-carbon, eco-friendly, and high-performance sustainable architectural project delivery and support the company’s green building and ESG strategic development.

Responsibilities

• Support in formulating and implementing the company’s sustainable design standards, low-carbon architecture guidelines, and green project management systems, and optimize industry-level sustainable design workflows for architectural projects.
• Lead green building certification submissions (BEAM Plus, LEED, WELL) from strategy to final certification
• Provide general sustainability consulting and technical support (e.g. environmental simulation, BEAM Plus implementation) across multiple offices and projects.
• Collect and interpret national and local green building, low-carbon, energy-saving and environmental protection policies, industry codes and latest sustainable design technologies, update company internal technical databases, and conduct internal professional training for the teams.
• Cooperate with clients, construction parties, third-party certification bodies and consulting institutions to communicate sustainable project requirements, solve technical and coordination problems in project implementation, and guarantee project quality and progress.
• Participate in the company’s ESG report implementation, sustainable project case sorting, technical proposal writing, and business bidding support for green & low-carbon architectural projects.
• Assist in researching industry frontier sustainable architecture technologies, zero-carbon building design strategies, and ecological restoration design, and promote the innovative application of new technologies in company projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Building or Architecture, or related discipline
• 5 years or above of relevant experience in sustainability consultancy or green building
• Holder of BEAM Pro / LEED AP / WELL AP highly desirable
• Proven experience in green building certification and carbon assessment
• Proficient in Rhino, Grasshopper, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, and climate-related simulation software.
• Strong analytical skills; coding/data analysis capability is an advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with excellent proficiency in both Chinese and English particularly in writing and above-average Putonghua fluency.
