Guotai Junan International Holdings Limited is seeking an Associate in Quality Control for IPO & ECM Transactions in Hong Kong. The role focuses on reviewing IPO documents, due diligence, and ensuring accuracy and completeness across materials.

You will work closely with deal teams, legal and compliance to resolve issues, assess regulatory risks and ensure adherence to listing rules, with strong emphasis on English and Chinese communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in law, accounting, finance or other relevant professional qualifications.
• 2+ years of QC/IPO vetting experience in investment banks or financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements including Listing Rules and IPO procedures.

• Review IPO transaction documents, due diligence materials and records to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with deal teams, legal & compliance, and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve IPO execution quality.
• Assess regulatory, legal and business risks associated with IPO transactions.
• Review IPO structures, approval materials, and related internal documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Provide training and updates on regulatory requirements and guidelines.
• Provide day-to-day support to the Investment Banking Division.

Associate, Quality Control – IPO & ECM Transactions

Review the IPO transaction documents (e.g. prospectus, A1 documents), due diligence materials and supporting records to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency

Work closely with deal teams, legal & compliance team and other internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve IPO execution quality

Assess the regulatory, legal, and business risks associated with IPO transactions

Review and provide feedback on IPO transaction structures, approval materials, and related internal documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and guidelines

Provide training and updates on regulatory requirements and guidelines

Provide day-to-day support to the Investment Banking Division

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in law, accounting, finance or other relevant professional qualifications;
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in quality control in investment bank or financial institution or IPO vetting. Candidates with experience in SFC or HKEx are preferrable;
• Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements including the Listing Rules;
• Knowledge of the execution and operational procedures for IPO transactions;
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese);
• Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
• Strong attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
