Job summary

KGI Hong Kong Limited is seeking an Associate in OTC & Mutual Funds, Operations to support non-listed product operations, trade settlement and related controls. The role requires a degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of mutual funds and non-listed products.

Proficiency in MS Office and fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin are essential. The successful candidate will work within the Non-listed Product Business Support team under the Operations

Qualifications

• Degree holder with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of market practice, market operations, regulations in wide range of non-listed products and familiar with mutual funds handling (order execution to settlement).
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Access; fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily tasks on the trade, settlement and clearing for non-listed products and mutual funds.
• Handle requests and enquiries from salesperson, regulators, auditors, etc.
• Monitor complicated control exceptions, investigate and coordinate to resolve.
• Prepare operational documents like procedures, guidelines, etc.
• Perform control tasks to secure reliability of day-to-day output.
• Review process flow and suggest improvements to strengthen risk management.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Non-listed Product Business Support team, under our Operations Department.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily tasks on the trade, settlement and clearing for wide range of non-listed products (bonds; ELI & ELN) and mutual funds
• Handle requests and enquiries from salesperson, regulators, auditors, etc
• Monitor complicated control exceptions, investigate and coordinate to resolve
• Prepare operational documents like procedures, guidelines, etc
• Perform control tasks to secure the reliability of day-to-day output
• Continuously review the process flow and make or suggest improvements to strengthen the system in managing the process and the operational risk
• Resolve operational issues and elevate in accordance with complexity and risk level
• Work with unit managers and team lead to incorporate business and regulatory requirements to design process flow and procedures to deliver the support in an efficient and effective manner
• Assist unit managers and team lead to identify opportunity of process improvement; analyze, propose and implement improvement measures
• Participate in operations development or change initiative
• Set out acceptance criteria, test plan and coordinate/conduct user acceptance test on developments
• Participate in ad hoc business and system development projects from time to time

Requirements

• Degree holder with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of market practice, market operations, regulations in wide range of non-listed products and familiar with mutual funds handling (order execution to settlement)
• High capability to adapt to changing working requirements
• Independent, enthusiastic, accountable, logical and systematic thinking
