Job summary

South China Morning Post’s SCMP Learn team in Causeway Bay seeks an Associate Director to drive retention and expansion of our Hong Kong school subscriptions and to build enduring partnerships with school leaders.

You will lead the HK Schools team, collaborate across Events, Marketing, Editorial, Product Management and Operations, and shape a sustainable educational ecosystem that integrates SCMP Learn into daily school life.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or institutional partnerships.
• Established network in Hong Kong primary/secondary schools (Principals, English Panels, etc.).
• Proven ability to meet commercial targets while launching and scaling multi-stakeholder initiatives or ecosystems.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-functional project management skills.
• Native or near-native fluency in English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Lead the HK Schools team to retain and expand school subscriptions and identify new opportunities.
• Build long-term relationships with school leaders and key decision-makers to integrate SCMP Learn into curricula.
• Embed SCMP Learn products into the daily school environment to create a lasting educational ecosystem.
• Coordinate with Events, Marketing, Editorial, Product Management, and Operations to align campaigns and roadmaps.
• Mentor and manage a high-performing business development and relationship management team with clear KPIs.
