Job summary

Mace Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an Associate Director - Commercial Consultancy to lead and elevate commercial management on a large-scale infrastructure programme across multiple sites. You will direct contract governance, cost control, and forecasting while guiding high-performance teams through complex settlements and final accounts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of commercial management experience with MRICS/RICS accreditation.
• Extensive expertise in contracts, cost management, risk, change control, and value engineering.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects and building trusted client relationships.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills with a sustainability focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial and cost management activities, ensuring robust governance, contract compliance, and formal execution of contractual documentation.
• Provide strategic leadership across large teams, driving high performance, continuous improvement, and excellence in project delivery.
• Oversee valuations, cost control, forecasting, and reporting, delivering accurate commercial insights to support decision-making.
• Manage change control, assessing cost impacts, claims, variations, and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure efficient project close-out, including negotiation of final accounts and issuance of completion and defects certificates.
• Support business growth, champion transformational change, and contribute to Mace’s net zero carbon ambitions through sustainable delivery practices.

Associate Director - Commercial Consultancy (M4)

The project:

A large-scale infrastructure programme involving complex civil, structural, and MEP works across multiple sites. The scope includes new town development, advanced technology facilities, and integrated transport systems, with emphasis on systems coordination, asset renewal, and long-term operational resilience.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Lead commercial and cost management activities, ensuring robust governance, contract compliance, and formal execution of contractual documentation.
• Provide strategic leadership across large teams, driving high performance, continuous improvement, and excellence in project delivery.

You’ll need to have:

• Proven success delivering complex projects and building trusted client relationships.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills, with a focus on sustainability.
