Job summary

Mace is seeking a Regional Finance Director for APAC to lead the regional finance function and partner with executive leadership to drive strategic decision making. This role goes beyond reporting to shape budgeting, planning and growth across the portfolio.

The successful candidate will oversee financial performance, forecasting, cash flow, compliance and governance across multi‑country projects, while driving profitability and supporting major bids and client engagements with financial insight.

Qualifications

  • Regional/Divisional Finance Director experience with multi-country leadership.
  • Professional services experience in consulting, advisory, engineering, design, architecture, construction, or financial services.
  • Strong project-based business expertise covering utilization, fee performance, revenue optimization, billing, cash collection, and commercial oversight.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification with a track record of partnering with senior executives to drive business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic finance leadership across the region, delivering the regional finance agenda and business objectives.
  • Partner with the Regional Managing Director, Commercial Director and Country Directors to drive commercial performance and operational excellence.
  • Lead the regional finance team, overseeing financial reporting, forecasting, cash flow management, compliance and governance activities.
  • Drive financial and commercial performance across projects, focusing on utilization, fee performance, billing discipline and profitability.
  • Oversee statutory reporting, audits, tax compliance and relationships with external auditors and financial partners.
  • Lead regional budgeting, forecasting and business planning activities, providing insight that supports strategic decision‑making.
  • Monitor pipeline performance, resource utilization and financial risks, identifying opportunities to improve business outcomes.
  • Support major bids, strategic pursuits, client engagements and operational initiatives through commercial and financial expertise.
  • Oversee statutory reporting, audits, tax compliance and relationships with external auditors and financial partners.
  • Drive transformational change across the finance function, embedding a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement.
  • Provide thought leadership and expert financial counsel to senior leadership teams across the region.

Purpose

The Consult business has experienced significant growth and now requires a highly commercial finance leader who can operate as a true business partner to the executive leadership team.

This role is far more than financial reporting and control. We are looking for a strategic leader who can influence decision‑making, challenge constructively, drive accountability and help optimize business performance across a complex, multi‑country professional services environment.

As Regional Finance Director, you will lead the regional finance function, oversee financial performance across the portfolio and play a key role in business planning, operational decision‑making and growth strategy.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Provide strategic finance leadership across the region, ensuring delivery of the regional finance agenda and business objectives.
  • Partner with the Regional Managing Director, Commercial Director and Country Directors to drive commercial performance and operational excellence.

  • Support major bids, strategic pursuits, client engagements and operational initiatives through commercial and financial expertise.

You’ll need to have:
