Job summary

SGS is seeking a Laboratory Quality Manager in Hong Kong to lead the quality management system, ensure ISO 17025 compliance and drive continuous improvement across the lab network.

You will oversee internal audits, data integrity, and new test development, while guiding teams, managing LIMS, and engaging with customers to resolve issues and ensure quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering, Science, Physics or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; toy testing is an advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Mature, proactive and able to work independently.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and solution-driven.
• Experience in testing, quality assurance, compliance or technical services is preferred.
• Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Technical Service Executive.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the laboratory quality management system to ensure ISO 17025 compliance.
• Plan and conduct internal audits and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of laboratory data and test reports.
• Lead new test development, method improvement and R&D projects to support business growth.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage and maintain the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Evaluate and manage external service providers and suppliers to ensure quality and compliance requirements are met.
• Provide technical guidance and compliance support to internal teams and customers.
• Lead team development, including recruitment, manpower planning, performance management and staff training.
• Build and implement training and development plans aligned with business objectives and employee growth.
• Support operational excellence and perform other duties as assigned.
