Job summary

Goldfield N & W Construction Company Limited is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor (E&M/Civil/Building) in Hong Kong. You will manage full lifecycle commercial operations, including measurement, valuation, cost control, and financial reporting, with emphasis on timely interim payments and VO assessments.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of QS experience with a reputable main contractor, HK standards familiarity, and proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and CostX.

Qualifications

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 2-5 years of relevant QS experience with a reputable Main Contractor handling Civil, Building, or E&M contracts.
• Professional qualification (MHKIS, MRICS, or equivalent) or progress towards chartership is an advantage.
• Well-versed in Hong Kong standard forms of contract (NEC3/NEC4, Government GCC, HKIA/HKIS standard forms, or private building contracts).
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and commercial risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle project commercial operations, including measurement, valuation, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and submit monthly interim payment applications, variation order (VO) assessments, and sub-contract claims.
• Execute sub-contract procurement, tender evaluation, negotiation, rate analysis, and contract award drafting.
• Negotiate and settle final accounts with project employers, consultants, and sub-contractors.
• Review contract terms, manage contractual correspondence, and assist in claim management/dispute resolution.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and consultants to safeguard company commercial interests.
