Job summary

The Bank of East Asia, Limited is seeking an IT Production Control professional in Hong Kong. You will supervise production activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage the migration of software to production environments while enforcing standard operating procedures.

You should have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent and at least five years’ related IT experience with strong knowledge of scalable infrastructure, release management, and risk controls.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent; OR
• At least 5 years’ related IT experience including supervision
• Solid knowledge of scalable, mission-critical IT infrastructure (network, storage, high availability, resilience)
• Experience in release management; PMP or ITIL certification is a plus
• Proficient in spoken & written English; Cantonese is a plus

• Monitor Production Control processes and enforce governance
• Ensure subordinates comply with regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Monitor the process of Production Control
• Ensure the subordinates to comply with the rules and regulated requirements of governing authorities
• Control the program migration to production system
• Define and schedule production procedures
• Manage batch & printing windows
• Examine and ensure the procedures submitted by application and technical teams are in compliance with site standard
• Monitor the service quality of IT Operations and ensure they have strictly followed the standard operating procedures
• Initiate training programs to develop and improve the skills of staff
• Liaise with application and support teams to ensure the smooth running of the production systems
• Perform any other duties as directed by supervisor
• Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
• Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent; OR
• Preferable over 5 years’ related IT experience covering the following:
• At least 3 years in supervisory position
• Solid knowledge & experience in maintaining scalable and mission critical IT infrastructure with network, storage, high availability and resilience
• Solid experience in release management
• Holder of PMP or ITIL foundation certification is an advantage
• Proficient in spoken & written English
• Good command in Cantonese, Putonghua is an advantage
