Job summary

Gfi World is seeking an Assistant Product Manager for Transmission products in Hong Kong. You will manage the lifecycle of Bandwidth products (IEPL/IPLC/GWL) and other telecom offerings, support product analysis, and coordinate with internal teams to gather requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree inTelecommunication/IT, 4+ years in IT/telecom, and strong English/Chinese communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or above degree in Telecommunication, IT or related field.
• Minimum 4 years IT/Telecom experience, preferably with international carriers.
• Basic understanding of transmission network technologies (SDH/OTN/WDM/L2 Metro Ethernet).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the product life cycle of Bandwidth Product (IEPL/IPLC/GWL) and related telecom offerings.
• Assist in product business analysis and in market trend analysis.
• Coordinate with internal departments to collect product development or optimization requirements.
• Organize product trainings for sales, pre-sales and customer services.
• Support sales/consultant teams with product updates and quarterly and yearly reports.

Your role:

• Responsible for product life cycle of Bandwidth Product (IEPL/IPLC/GWL) and other telecommunication products
• Assist in product business analysis, as well as product competitive analysis & market trend analysis
• Interface with related internal departments to collect product development or optimization requirements
• Organize product training for the companys internal personnel in positions such as sales, pre-sales and customer services
• Support sales/consultant team for technical clarification, provide and/or present monthly, quarterly, and annually product line update reports as directed

Requirements:

• Bachelor or above degree holder in Telecommunication, Information Technology or equivalent disciplines
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in the IT / Telecom industry, preferably with international carriers
• Basic understanding of core transmission network technologies (SDH/OTN/WDM/Layer 2 Metro Ethernet) is preferable
• Good communication and coordination skills, excellent presentation skills to demonstrate product strategy and go-to-market positioning
• Proactive learner, independent and able to work under pressure
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including Mandarin
