GEODIS Hong Kong Limited seeks an Assistant Operations and Quality Manager, Air Export to lead a 7x24 shift team and ensure accurate air export documentation handling. You will supervise handovers to cargo terminals and maintain compliance with airline policies and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 5+ years in airfreight forwarding with supervisory experience, strong data analytics, and knowledge of HK customs. IATA DGA is a plus; bilingual English/Chinese skills preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in airfreight forwarding (Operations/Customer Service/PM background)
• Experience in supervising teams (minimum 2 years)
• Knowledge of airfreight export documentation processes
• Project management principles and process improvement
• IATA Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate is advantageous
• Good knowledge of Hong Kong Customs regulations and air import processes

Responsabilités

• Assist Senior Manager, Air Gateway & Procurement, in managing 7x24 shift operations team to ensure seamless and accurate air export documentation handling
• Ensure timely and accurate handover of shipments and documentation to cargo terminals
• Maintain effective communication with carriers, terminals, and internal teams in line with airline policies and regulatory requirements
• Lead investigations into operational mishandlings, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Analyze operational data and KPIs to enhance workflows, reduce errors, and sustain high service quality
• Collaborate with overseas NextGen system team to drive system upgrades and digital transformation
• Drive daily quality improvement initiatives and assist in maintaining and auditing certifications (ISO, GDP, TAPA) to ensure compliance

Job Descriptions

• Assist the Senior Manager, Air Gateway & Procurement, in managing the 7x24 shift operations team to ensure seamless and accurate air export documentation handling


• Ensure timely and accurate handover of shipments and documentation to cargo terminals


• Maintain effective and timely communication with carriers, cargo terminals, and internal teams in full compliance with airline policies and regulatory requirements.


• Lead investigations into operational mishandlings, perform root-cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions


• Analyze operational data and monitor KPIs to continuously enhance workflows, minimize error rates, and sustain high service quality.


• Collaborate with the overseas NextGen system team to drive continuous system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives


• Drive daily quality improvement initiatives and assist in maintaining, updating, and auditing various industry certifications (e.g., ISO, GDP, TAPA) to ensure strict compliance.

Job Requirements

• HKDSE / Form 5 graduate or above


• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in the airfreight forwarding industry (Operations / Customer Service / Project Management background) is welcome, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.


• Well-versed in airfreight export documentation processes and air cargo terminal operations


• Basic understanding of project management principles with a strong mindset to drive process and quality improvement


• Possessing a valid IATA Dangerous Goods Awareness Certificate (DGA) is highly advantageous


• Good knowledge of Hong Kong Customs regulations and air import processes is preferred


• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)


• Fast and accurate data-entry skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
