Job summary

SGS is seeking a senior laboratory quality leader to oversee the quality management system, drive internal audits and continuous improvement, and ensure the integrity of test data and reports. The role requires strong leadership and collaboration with stakeholders to maintain high service standards.

You will manage daily lab operations, investigate complaints, monitor performance, and support process enhancements across the laboratory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Science or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the laboratory quality management system, ensuring ISO 17025/compliance.
• Plan and conduct internal audits and drive continuous quality improvements.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of laboratory data and test reports.
• Oversee daily laboratory operations for efficiency, quality and timely service delivery.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor testing activities, results and laboratory performance.
• Support process improvements and operational excellence across the laboratory.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high service standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Lead and maintain the laboratory quality management system, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and related accreditation requirements.
• Plan and conduct internal audits and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of laboratory data and test reports.
• Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure efficiency, quality and timely service delivery.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor testing activities, results and laboratory performance.
• Support process improvements and operational excellence across the laboratory.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant laboratory experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 17025 and HOKLAS requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
