Job summary

HKT is looking for a Network and Security Operations professional to support critical services in a 24/7 environment. The role involves implementing and configuring routers, switches, Wi‑Fi, and security controls, while monitoring and addressing incidents promptly.

You will work with tools like SIEM, NAC, DLP, and threat intel to ensure network integrity and secure connectivity. A 2+ year track record in related roles and a relevant degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in network and security operation role.
• Strong understanding of network and security principles, practices, and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Implement and configure router, switch, Wi‑Fi system, firewall, VPN, and proxy policies as part of BAU activities.
• Support network and security components round‑the‑clock in areas such as router, switch, Wi‑Fi system, firewall, VPN, proxy, and security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
• Deploy and manage network monitoring tools to track network performance and security (SolarWinds, SIEM, etc.).
• Promptly investigate and address security alerts, incidents, and breaches with efficiency.
• Handle security events in a 24/7 environment to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Utilize SIEM tools to troubleshoot, analyze security data and produce reports for management and stakeholders.

Perform operational tasks such as implementing and configuring router, switch, Wi‑Fi system, firewall, VPN, and proxy policies as part of Business As Usual (BAU) activities

Support network and security components round‑the‑clock in areas such as router, switch, Wi‑Fi system, firewall, VPN, proxy, and various security tools like NSPM, SASE and NDR.

Deploy and manage network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Darktrace, CrowdStrike, SIEM to track network performance and security

Promptly investigate and address security alerts, incidents, and breaches with efficiency.

Handle security events and incidents in a 24/7 environment to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities

Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to troubleshooting, analyze security data and produce reports for management and stakeholders

To Succeed in the Role

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in network and security operation role
• Strong understanding of network and security principles, practices, and technologies
• Experience with network and security tools such as router, switch, Wi‑Fi system, firewall, VPN, SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners
• Knowledge in Cisco, H3C, Aruba AC, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks (PA), Sangfor, Hillstone, Huawei, as well as other network and security components such as Ivanti VPN, MobileIron, Darktrace, NAC, Proxy, among others
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCNA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are a plus
• Team Player, self‑motivated and work independently
