Job summary

Yusen Logistics Global Management (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to support Ocean Freight Forwarding and Strategic Product Management. You will help manage carriers, trade lanes, and vendor relationships while driving operational excellence across the network.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field and at least five years in sea freight or logistics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sea freight forwarding, logistics, shipping, or supply chain management.
Experience in FCL operations, carrier management, trade management, or procurement within the logistics industry is highly preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret market data and business trends.
Good project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across functions and regions.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.
Immediately available preferred.

Responsibilities

Support the management and execution of Full Container Load (FCL) business operations.
Assist in carrier management, trade lane management, and strategic vendor relationship development.
Monitor market trends, freight rate movements, and industry developments to support business decisions.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders and overseas offices to optimize service performance and operational efficiency.
Analyze operational and commercial data to identify business opportunities and process improvements.
Support the implementation of departmental initiatives and business strategies.
Prepare management reports, performance analyses, and presentations.
Participate in projects related to business enhancement, productivity improvement, and cost optimization.
Provide guidance and support to team members and contribute to succession planning within the department.
Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and industry regulations.
