Job summary

Sun Life Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to support pricing and profitability for life insurance products. You will coordinate with Actuarial, Product, Marketing and IT on product architecture and implement pricing changes.

We require a degree in Actuarial Science and at least 5 years of actuarial operations experience, strong Excel skills, AXIS knowledge, and the ability to work independently. Excellent communication across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science or related discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience in actuarial operations in life insurance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; AXIS experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across multiple parties.
• Strong numeric sense and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Actuarial principles, Par Fund, IFRS17, HKRBC.
• Proficient in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Support pricing and lead pricing on new products to meet profitability targets.
• Coordinate with Actuarial, Product, Marketing and IT on product architecture and implementation.
• Lead the product implementation process.
• Review marketing materials for accuracy and coordinate UAT for systems.
• Prepare and review regular business reports and analyses.
• Manage financial analysis on special quotations and lead process improvements.

Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

• Support Product Pricing and lead pricing on new products to meet company’s profitability requirement, including planning and management of pricing deliverables, analysis of pricing results, supporting the product implementation, coaching and reviewing work from junior colleagues.
• Coordinate with various function such as Actuarial, Product, Marketing and IT on product architecture and implementation, assumptions justification, risk assessment, etc throughout the product development and pricing process
• Lead the product implementation process
• Review marketing material to ensure product related information are accurate and appropriate, review user requirement prepared by juniors and coordinate UAT for system development
• Prepare and review regular business reports and business analysis
• Manage financial analysis on special quotation and lead some process improvement projects

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Actuarial Science or related discipline.
• At least 5 years’ experience in actuarial operation in life insurance company; less experience will be considered as Senior Actuarial Analyst
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and experience in AXIS is an advantage.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work across multiple parties.
• Strong numeric sense and attention to details.
• Good knowledge in Actuarial principles, Par Fund Management, IFRS17 and HKRBC
• Proficient command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
