Job summary

Airport Authority Hong Kong is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead infrastructure system projects from requirements through delivery. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure quality and compliance across stakeholders.

The role requires a degree in IT/CS/engineering, PMP and ITIL preferred, plus 6+ years in project management and 4+ years engaging diverse stakeholders. Airport experience is a plus, and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT / CS / Engineering.
• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• 4+ years in project management and stakeholder engagement.
• PMP and/or ITIL preferred.
• Proven experience with large-scale, mission-critical systems.
• Working experience in airports and aviation industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager, IT to perform requirement assessment, solution design, development, implementation, quality assurance and production commissioning.
• Act as the project manager of Infrastructure systems team to ensure timely, quality and within budget implementation of system.
• Liaise and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders, contractors and suppliers for planning, project management and support functions.
• Provide technical collaboration and consultation for AA Internal users related to Infrastructure system.
• Develop user requirement specifications, functional design and specifications for contractors based on business requirement.
• Develop project implementation plans and work breakdown structures and manage data, reports for project administration and contract compliance.
• Perform project support/administration to meet objectives, service delivery standards and timelines.
• Supervise contractors performing FAT, SAT and UAT.
• Monitor performance of responsible application systems and implement fixes or upgrades.
• Ensure smooth transition of system operations by guiding first level support staff.

This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

• Monitor the performance of the responsible application systems to identify areas of possible enhancement; and resolve outstanding system issues by implementing fixes or upgrades.
• Ensure smooth transition of system operations by providing instructions and expert advice to first level support staff.

Requirements

• Degree holder in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines
• 6 more years of relevant working experience
• At least 4 years' experience in Project Management and Stakeholders Engagement.
• Possession of Project Management Professional (PIMP) certification and / or ITIL certificate is preferred
• Proven application development and support experience in large scale, mission critical systems
• Working experience in airports and aviation industry is preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
