Job summary

Airport Authority Hong Kong is seeking an experienced IT professional to lead IT Operations and ensure reliable data-center and hosting services. You will drive continuous improvement, manage incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support aviation IT operations.

The role demands strong analytical, leadership and communication skills, with English and Chinese language capability and a relevant technical degree. On-site Hong Kong location with driving license preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, CS or related disciplines with 6+ years IT systems administration experience.
• Experience in supporting DCIM, Telemetry Gateway, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, VMware, SAN storage or cloud platforms.
• ITIL v3+ certification preferred; MS Windows / RHEL certifications advantageous.
• Strong analytical, leadership and communication skills; English and Chinese proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct system audits to ensure IT operational standards and report findings.
• Optimize hosting facilities with remote monitoring and improved reliability.
• Lead capacity planning reviews and provide oversight for future growth.
• Participate in automation and hosting resource optimization initiatives.
• Represent IT Operations in projects with smooth handovers to daily operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct system audits to ensure compliance with IT operational standards, collaborate with support teams to address issues, and report findings to Line Manager

• Optimize system hosting facilities remote monitoring with SOCC and delivery teams, prioritize critical alerts, and develop improved monitoring solutions for better reliability.

• Facilitates capacity planning, ensuring thorough reviews and accurate reports by support teams, and provide oversight and support for future growth.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on automation and hosting resource optimization, and to enhance efficiency and adapt to evolving technology and renovation needs.

• Representing IT Operations in projects, ensuring operational requirements are met, facilitating smooth handovers and integration with daily operations

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines with at least 6 years of relevant experience on IT systems administration, including Data center operation, technical support and drill management, of which with at least 2-3 years proven experience in IT Operations management

• Experience in supporting DCIM (SNMP/ModBus/LoRaWan), Telemetry Gateway, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, VMware, SAN storage or multi-vendor cloud platform etc.

• Certification in relevant technologies e.g. MS windows / RHEL will be definitely advantageous

• Certification in IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 or above is preferred

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership and communication skills

• Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese with knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage

• Holder of a valid HK driving license (Class 1, 2) is preferred
