Job summary

Hong Kong Genome Institute is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Operations and Engagement Division in planning, tracking, and reporting on research projects in a dynamic environment.

You will liaise with diverse stakeholders, manage timelines, collect data, and create compelling presentations for management. The role requires strong bilingual Cantonese/English skills and a collaborative, multitasking mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of project coordination experience in clinical research, life sciences, healthcare or non-profit sectors.
• Advanced proficiency with project management tools, data analysis software, and presentation tools (PowerPoint/Canva/Adobe).
• Collaborative mindset with ability to manage multiple projects.
• Strong bilingual communication in Cantonese and English.

Job description

Reporting to the Manager (Clinical and Research Operations), the incumbent will assume the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Operations and Engagement Division, managing communications and addressing inquiries from diverse internal and external stakeholders, including the general public and industry partners
• Assist in planning, tracking and executing research project timelines, ensuring milestones are achieved through effective cross-team coordination
• Collect, analyse, and synthesise project data to generate progress reports for management review
• Design and develop high-impact, visually compelling presentations to effectively communicate project progress and proposals to management and stakeholders
• Perform any other duties assigned by senior officers

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
• At least 5 years of project coordination experience, preferably gained in a clinical research, life sciences, healthcare or non-profit sector, utilising industry-standard project management methodologies to track plans, timelines, and budgets
• Advanced proficiency in project management tools, data analysis software, and presentation/graphic design tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Canva, or Adobe Suite)
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectively
• Strong bilingual communication skills in spoken Cantonese and English, with the ability to tailor messaging and presentations to diverse stakeholders

Remuneration

Successful candidate will be offered attractive remuneration and be appointed on an initial two-year contract (subject to mutual agreement for contract renewal).
