The Assistant Finance Manager role focuses on overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting. This position requires expertise in accounting and finance to support business objectives effectively.

Our client is a Shenzhen-based industry leader seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to oversee accounting, tax compliance and treasury operations matters for their Hong Kong entities.

Description

As an Assistant Finance Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Prepare full-set accounts and statutory financial statements in accordance with Hong Kong Accounting Standards.
  
• Managing and overseeing daily financial operations and accounting processes.
  
• Lead the preparation and submission of all Hong Kong tax filings, including Profits Tax, Salaries Tax, and other statutory tax obligations, ensuring full compliance with local regulations.
• Manage corporate banking activities, including payment processing, fund transfers, bank reconciliations, expense reviews, and daily treasury operations.
• Ensuring compliance with local financial regulations and corporate policies.
• Coordinate with relevant authorities, auditors, and external parties throughout the annual audit process and other compliance-related matters.
• Supervising and mentoring a small team.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimise financial performance.

Profile

A successful Assistant Finance Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  
• Experience gained within Chinese/ stated-owned enterprises is highly preferred.
  
• 5 years of relevant experience with strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead and develop a team effectively.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese, spoken and written.
