The Great Eagle Co Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Finance Manager to lead monthly and year-end closes, consolidate financial results, and prepare statements with strong oversight of taxation across HK, Macau and Mainland China.
You will supervise a local team, participate in budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, and support treasury and shared services functions. Excellent communication in English and Chinese is required.
Prepare monthly financial reporting, including month-end and year-end closing, P&L and balance sheet commentary, and the monthly sub‑group consolidated financial reporting pack.
Prepare annual and interim financial statements and relevant disclosure notes; liaise with external auditors. Lead and supervise the local team on taxation matters for Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China.
Prepare financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and management reports.
Support treasury functions including cash and fund management and bank administration.
Provide support to the shared services accounting services team in China.
Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Act as a finance business partner to support business units and oversee finance and administrative functions.
Participate in ad hoc projects, such as Oracle system enhancements, workflow improvements, and process optimization.
Requirements:
Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, preferably with a recognized professional accounting qualification such as HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience; experience in audit firms, project-based organizations, or the retail industry is an advantage.
Strong hands‑on experience in preparing consolidated financial statements under tight deadlines.
Solid knowledge of accounting standards and taxation regulations.
Experience with accounting systems (preferably Oracle); exposure to MS Power BI implementation is highly advantageous.
Self‑motivated, independent, and equipped with strong problem‑solving skills.
Able to work under pressure with flexibility to adapt to changes.
Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
Immediate available would be an advantage.
