Job summary

Preface seeks a proactive, people-driven individual to welcome families and engage students in a dynamic learning community in Hong Kong. You will serve as the main contact for progress updates and course recommendations while guiding parents through scheduling and portals.

You will coordinate substitutes, ensure materials and tech are ready, and support on-site events. Expect a fast-paced role focused on relationship-building, retention, and brand standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in customer service/facing roles in education, hospitality, or similar environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a builder mindset.
• Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Cantonese.
• Sales acumen and ability to promote courses and events.
• Detail-oriented with proactive problem-solving.
• Able to multitask and manage classroom operations efficiently.
• Flexible to work weekday evenings and weekends.

As the face of Preface, you'll create a welcoming environment, engage students and parents, and foster a strong learning community. You’ll bridge relationships between parents, Nomads (teachers), and students, ensuring alignment with Preface’s mission and values.

About the role

1. 1. Student & Parent Engagement
   • Greet families warmly and maintain an organised learning space.
   • Serve as the primary contact for learning progress, class discussions, and course recommendations.
   • Assist parents with the customer portal, schedules, and progress updates.
2. 2. Teacher Support & Classroom Readiness
   • Coordinate substitute teachers and ensure class materials are prepared.
   • Monitor teacher dress code and enforce Preface lanyard use.
   • Support pre-class setup, including tech checks and classroom readiness.
3. 3. Community Building & Sales Growth
   • Own the arrangements, communication and community building for adult learners
     
   • Maintain clear communication via WhatsApp, phone, email, and in-person
   • Promote courses, promotions, and events to boost enrolments
   • Organise on-site events like experience days and parent workshops
   • Drive retention through referrals and student success highlights
4. 4. Operational Excellence
   • Manage schedules, attendance, and front desk inquiries
   • Support company-wide events and analyze attendance trends
   • Uphold Preface brand standards and keep marketing materials updated

Who You Are

• 3-5+ years of experience in customer service/facing, hotel, members club or education centre
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with builder mindset
• Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Sales and relationship building skills
• Detail-oriented and proactive in solving problems
• Passionate about education and community building
• Able to multitask and manage classroom operations efficiently
• Fluent in English and Cantonese (spoken and written)
• Flexible to work on weekday evenings and on weekends
