Job summary

Bank of China in Hong Kong seeks an Assistant/Deputy Operations Manager - IT System (Vault Management) to lead IT system development projects and oversee security and compliance within treasury platforms.

You will coordinate with business stakeholders and IT, manage go-live readiness, validate tests, and ensure timely deployments while maintaining high standards of risk management and cross-team collaboration. Fluency in English and Chinese is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT system implementation, process optimization, project management, and information security.
• Banking industry or vault management experience is preferred.
• Strong risk awareness and ability to work under pressure.
• Good command of English and Chinese, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate IT system development projects and oversee timelines, quality, and security.
• Manage end-to-end go-live preparation, testing, rollout planning, issue resolution, and cross-team coordination.
• Oversee IT security for Treasury systems, conduct risk assessments, remediation, and ensure policy compliance.
• Handle additional IT system development, process improvement, and project rollout tasks as assigned.

Responsibilies:

• Leading and coordinating system development projects, driving business process optimization, bridge communication between business stakeholders and IT on technical solutions and requirements, and oversee project timelines, quality, and security standards.
• Managing end-to-end go-live preparation for new systems, including test validation, rollout planning, issue diagnosis and resolution, and cross-team coordination to ensure successful and timely deployment.
• Taking charge of IT security for Treasury systems—establish and enforce security controls, conduct regular risk assessments and remediation, oversee daily security operations, and ensure full compliance with internal information security policies across all development and operational phases.
• Carrying out other tasks assigned by the department related to IT system development, process improvement, project rollout, and information security.

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma holder or above
• The experience in banking industry or vault management would be an advantage
• Experience in IT system implementation, process optimization, project management, and information security.
• Good risk management awareness and with Strong team spirit
• Mature, self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure
• Strong risk awareness, organizational, analytical and communication skills
• Good command of both verbal and written English and Chinese
• Working location in Hong Kong Island (Eastern District)
