Job summary

TÜV Rheinland Group Hong Kong seeks a qualified chemist to join our laboratory, focusing on inorganic testing and ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025. You will review, sign reports, calibrate instruments (ICP-MS/OES) and supervise routine tests to meet turnaround targets. A higher diploma in science/chemistry and 2–7 years’ lab experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Chemistry or related science.
• 2–7 years in a testing laboratory.
• Experience with ICP-MS/ICP-OES or related testing.
• Senior level for more experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Review, check and sign inorganic test reports.
• Plan and control laboratory operation to meet objectives.
• Train and supervise routine tests.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Ensure ISO/IEC 17025 compliance and management policy.
• Supervise technicians performing routine tests.
• Counter-check test results.
• Operate ICP-OES/ICP-MS/GC-MS/LC-MS/MS for routine tests.
• Monitor testing turnaround times.

Job Description

• Review, check and sign inorganic test reports
• Plan and control the operation of the laboratory to meet objective
• Train and supervise subordinates on performing routine tests
• Conduct equipment maintenance and calibration
• Implement and maintain laboratory operation according to ISO/IEC 17025 requirement and Management policy.
• Supervise technician on performing routine tests
• Counter-check test results
• Operating the instrument (e.g. ICP-OES, ICP-MS, GC-MS, LC-MSMS and etc.) for routine test
• Monitor and maintain testing meet the scheduled turnaround time。

Job Requirement

• Higher Diploma or above in Science/ Chemistry or other related disciplines
• 2 to 7 years experience in the testing laboratory
• Familiar with different testings and machine operations, prefer with ICP-MS / ICP-OES or related testing experience
• Candidate will more experience will be considered as Senior Test Chemist
