Job summary

Ocean Park Corporation in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Business Development Manager (Travel Trade) to maximize attendance and revenue through strategic sales in local and overseas markets. You will lead efforts with wholesalers, tour operators, OTAs, and MICE buyers while coordinating with marketing on promotions and events.

The role requires strong sales skills, a track record of achieving targets, and willingness to travel frequently. Fluency in English is essential, Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in hospitality management, sales & marketing, business administration or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in sales and marketing, preferably in travel trade or related sectors.
• Strong sales skills and a proven track record to generate sales.
• Willing to travel frequently and perform duties to achieve attendance/ revenue goals.
• Excellent command of English; Mandarin is an advantage.

Assistant Business Development Manager (Travel Trade)

Reports to Senior Sales Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for maximizing admission revenue and other revenue targets of Ocean Park & Water World.

Executing and implementing sales strategies assigned to sales team, the role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities to increase attendance and achieve targeted sales revenue in overseas tourist markets.

Conduct local & overseas sales calls to acquire and develop strong relationships with key accounts including wholesalers, tour operators, OTA, overseas travel agencies, MICE agents and Consolidators.

Develops strategies and negotiates with overseas counterparts to design and implement promotions, tactical offers, and joint campaigns.

Provides support and participates in ad-hoc marketing and corporate events.

Collaborates closely with the marketing team to plan and execute co-op marketing initiatives with key partners.

Assist in preparing sales-related documentations, including proposals, agreements, invoices, and product notices.

Requirements

Degree in hospitality management, sales & marketing, business administration or other relevant discipline

Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the field of business development, tourism organization, hospitality, cruise, airline and MICE sales

Strong sales skills and good track record to generate sales

Willing to perform duties assigned by the superior for the purpose of achieving the attendance goal

Ability to work under pressure and willing to travel frequently

Aggressive, organized, self-motivated and independent. Must be detail-oriented and able to balance several projects at once

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Excellent command of both spoken and written English. Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage
