Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Bar Manager to lead the bar team within the F&B Service Division. Based at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong, you will supervise day-to-day operations, drive service standards, and support promotional activities while reporting to the Outlet Manager.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in F&B or hotel settings, with preference for fine dining or Michelin-starred backgrounds, a passion for service, and strong Cantonese/English skills (Mandarin a plus).

Qualifications

• At least 4 years’ experience in F&B or hotel industry.
• Experience in fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurants is preferred.
• Passionate about delivering an exceptional F&B service.
• Pleasant, presentable, service-oriented and good supervision skills.
• Proficient in Cantonese and English; Mandarin an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Outlet Manager in supervising day-to-day operation.
• Inspect front and back areas for impeccable standards.
• Control quality of food and beverages served.
• Handle guest and colleague complaints.
• Organize and conduct training and daily staff meetings.
• Arrange hygiene and fire safety lectures.
• Maintain par stock and minimize breakage and wastage.

About the job

Basedat Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong withinF&B Service Division in Hong Kong, the Assistant Bar Manager will be responsible in supervising the day-to-day bar operation encompassing business level projection and promotional activities. Initiate trainingto enhance the consistency in service and standards. The Assistant Bar Manager reports to the Outlet Manager.

As Assistant Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Assist the Outlet Manager in supervising day-to-day operation
• Inspect the front and back areas and make sure all is always impeccable
• Control the quality of food and beverage served
• Handle complaints from guests and colleagues
• Organize and follow through the training and daily meetings with all staff
• Arrange the hygiene and fire precaution lectures
• Maintain par stock of all items as agreed and ensure breakage and wastage are kept to the absolute minimum
• Assist the management in achieving departmental goals and ensure guests satisfaction level

As Assistant Bar Manager, we expect from you:

• With at least 4 years’ experience in F&B or hotel industry
