Job summary

Pirata Group is seeking a hands-on accounting professional in Hong Kong to maintain receivables, reconcile balances, and support the monthly close. You will join a small, forward-thinking finance team and learn modern systems and AI tools to improve accuracy and speed in routine tasks.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years accounting experience or strong graduate.
• Studying towards or holding an accounting qualification (LCCI/HKICPA/ACCA) or equivalent.
• Comfortable with Excel and numbers; accurate and organized.
• Open to learning new systems and AI tools; proactive team player.
• Bilingual in English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile restaurant sales (from the POS) to bank receipts by outlet, and help investigate and resolve any differences.
• Help substantiate month-end balances such as customer deposits and gift-card balances, making sure they agree to the ledger.
• Prepare journals, accruals and prepayments, and support a smooth monthly close.
• Use our systems and AI/automation tools (with training) to make routine tasks faster and more accurate over time.
• Provide backup support to the accounts-payable / payments work when needed.
• Keep tidy records and help with audit preparation.

About the Role

• Open and willing to learn new systems and tools, curiosity and a positive attitude matter more than prior expertise.
• A helpful team player who communicates well and takes pride in accurate work.
• Bilingual fluency in both written and spoken English and Cantonese
