Job summary

OpenRice Limited is seeking an experienced accountant to manage month-end closing, prepare monthly reports and oversee daily accounting operations in Hong Kong. You will supervise junior staff, coordinate with internal teams on financial issues and assist in budgeting and forecasting.

The ideal candidate has a accounting/finance degree with at least five years of full-set accounting experience, strong problem-solving, organization and bilingual communication skills in English and Cantonese.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or Finance or related disciplines.
• 5 years relevant working experience in full set of accounts.
• Able to work independently and problem solve.
• Well-organized, responsible and good communication skills.
• Proficient in MS applications; English and Cantonese skills required.
• Experience with FLEX would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Month-end closing, and monthly reports & analysis.
• Oversee daily accounting operations including AR/AP and ledger maintenance.
• Supervise subordinates in accounting tasks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address financial operations and budgeting.
• Liaise with auditors during annual audits.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as required.

What you’ll be doing?

Responsible for month-end closing, preparing monthly reports and analysis

Oversee daily accounting operations, including bank transactions, AR, AP and maintaining ledger

Supervision of subordinates to perform accounting tasks

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to tackle financial operation issues / prepare budget

Liaise with auditor during annual audit

Perform ad-hoc tasks as required

Who are we looking for?

Degree in Accounting or Finance or related disciplines

5 years relevant working experience in full set of accounts

Able to work independently and good at problem solving

Well-organized, responsible, self-motivated and good communication skills

Proficient in MS applications

Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese

Experience in FLEX would be an advantage

Immediate available is preferable

Candidate with less experience will be considered as Accountant
