Job summary

BBVA is seeking a senior leader to establish and grow its Credit Derivatives trading business in Asia. You will define the roadmap, build a fully operational platform and align with global standards and local regulations.

You will lead cross‑functional efforts with Technology, Operations, Finance and Risk, cultivate relationships with institutional clients and interbank counterparties, and prepare the region for scalable day‑to‑day trading under a governed framework.

Qualifications

• University graduate with numerical or engineering background preferred.
• 10–15 years experience in structured credit and related markets.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for cross‑functional work.

Responsibilities

• Lead establishment and development of Credit Derivatives trading in Asia.
• Define roadmap to build a scalable trading platform aligned with global standards.
• Coordinate pricing models, market data, risk monitoring and reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with Quants, Structuring and global trading teams to implement pricing models.
• Build relationships with institutional clients and interbank counterparties in Asia.
• Prepare the platform for onboarding a local Trader Associate within ~12 months.
