Qualifikationen

• 4+ years of relevant experience in Corporate & Investment Banking or related areas.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline; Master’s/CFA is a plus.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills with ability to translate data into concise materials.

Aufgaben

• Support senior bankers across the Global Institutional Business franchise in Asia, covering Public Sector, Banks, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies and Financial Sponsors.
• Prepare client presentations and briefing materials, and coordinate senior management meetings and client visits.
• Conduct client, sector and market analysis to identify opportunities and support client strategies.
• Coordinate across product teams to deliver Financing, Global Markets, Transaction Banking, Sustainability and Advisory solutions.
• Support transaction execution and coordinate with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Onboarding/KYC and product teams.
• Monitor market developments and macro/regulatory trends across Asia to provide market intelligence.
• Assist in seminars, training, events and client engagement initiatives.

The successful candidate will be part of BBVA's Global Institutional Business (GIB) Pool in Asia, supporting the development of the institutional franchise across the region and working across the main GIB client segments: Public Sector, Banks, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies and Financial Sponsors.

The candidate will work closely with senior coverage bankers and product partners across Asia, supporting client coverage, origination, business development and transaction execution. The role will provide broad exposure to BBVA's institutional client base and product capabilities, while contributing to the continued growth and strategic positioning of the Global Institutional Business franchise in Asia.

Key Responsibilities

• Support senior bankers across the Global Institutional Business franchise in Asia, covering Public Sector, Banks, Asset Managers, Insurance Companies and Financial Sponsors.
• Support day-to-day client coverage activities, including the preparation of client presentations and briefing materials, as well as the coordination and follow-up of senior management meetings, client visits and business trips.
• Conduct client, sector and market analysis to identify potential business opportunities and support senior bankers in developing client strategies and account plans.
• Coordinate business opportunities across product teams to deliver BBVA's full value proposition, including Financing, Global Markets, Transaction Banking, Sustainability and Advisory solutions.
• Support transaction execution and client initiatives, coordinating with internal stakeholders including Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Onboarding/KYC and relevant product teams.
• Monitor client activity, market developments and relevant macroeconomic and regulatory trends across Asia, providing actionable market intelligence to the GIB team.
• Support the preparation and coordination of seminars, training sessions, industry events and other strategic client engagement initiatives.

Qualification & Experience

• Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Corporate & Investment Banking, Financial Institutions, Public Sector Coverage, Global Markets, Financing or a related area. Previous exposure to institutional clients in Asia would be an advantage.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline. A Master's degree, CFA qualification or other relevant professional certification would be an advantage.
• Product Knowledge: Good understanding of banking and capital markets products, with exposure to areas such as Global Markets (FX, Rates, Credit, Derivatives and Repo), Financing and Transaction Banking. Ability and willingness to develop a broad understanding of BBVA's product capabilities across institutional client segments.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to analyse clients, markets and business opportunities and translate information into clear, concise and actionable materials for senior bankers and clients.
• Client Orientation: Strong interest in developing relationships with institutional clients and understanding their strategic and financial needs, with a clear commercial and client-oriented mindset.
• Execution & Coordination: Ability to manage multiple workstreams, coordinate effectively across coverage, product and support teams, and contribute to the timely execution of transactions, onboarding processes and client initiatives.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality presentations and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Language Skills: Fluent English is required. Mandarin would be an advantage, particularly given the importance of Greater China within BBVA's institutional franchise in Asia. Additional Asian languages would also be considered an advantage.
