Job summary

Coltex Furnishing Limited in Hong Kong seeks an Art Advisor to support our Founder & Design Director across end-to-end client art projects, from sourcing to final presentation.

You will develop proposals, coordinate sampling and logistics, conduct market research, and refine narratives to align with clients' aesthetic briefs. Proficiency with Sketch/Illustrator/Photoshop is a plus.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with a passion for craft and design.
• Strong understanding of design styles and processes.
• FF&E or art consultant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop client-facing art proposals with storytelling and narratives.
• Compile artwork catalogues, reference libraries, mood boards, and quotations.
• Coordinate artwork sampling, production follow-up, logistics, and full-cycle progress tracking.
• Prepare for client consultations: narrative decks, briefs, meeting materials; take notes and file management.
• Conduct market research on artists, craft techniques, material knowledge, pricing, and references.
• Refine concept narratives to align with client briefs and design vision.
• Track feedback and revise proposals and selections.

Job description

Support the Founder & Design Director across end-to-end client art projects: art sourcing, artist and craft workshop liaison (lacquerware, cloisonné and decorative craft artisans).

Key responsibilities

Develop client-facing art proposals, including storytelling, thematic narratives and conceptual write-ups; translate craft heritage, material features and artistic intent into persuasive narratives for presentations

Compile artwork catalogues, reference image libraries, mood boards, and formal quotation documents

Coordinate artwork sampling, production follow-up, logistics arrangement and full-cycle project progress tracking

Prepare for client consultations and presentations: assemble narrative decks, background briefs, meeting materials; take detailed meeting notes and maintain organized digital project files

Conduct market research covering artist backgrounds, traditional craft techniques, material knowledge, artwork pricing and comparable reference projects

Assist in refining concept narratives: connect client aesthetic brief with artist stories, craft history and design vision to enrich proposal storytelling

Track project feedback, revise proposal narratives and artwork selections to align with evolving client expectations
