Job summary

Jefferies is seeking a senior APAC Tech Lead in Hong Kong to oversee the Global Equities Data & Analytics platform. You will manage real-time market data, build APAC-specific use cases, and work closely with traders, quants, and the global team across New York, London, and Pune.

You will leverage KDB/Q, Python, Java, and cloud data tools to deliver scalable analytics, drive data-driven decisions, and support trading desks with timely insights in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years with large financial data sets (market data, orders, positions).
• 10+ years with Kdb+/Q in Unix/Linux environments.
• Excellent communication with traders, quants, and stakeholders.
• Ability to learn new technologies and business knowledge.
• Experience with Python w/ cloud tools and data formats (Parquet, Iceberg).
• Experience with agile methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage real-time market data for APAC region and develop APAC-specific use cases.
• Support Global Data & Analytics platform with real-time and historical data.
• Collaborate with trading desks and quants in the region.
• Implement functionality based on defined APIs.
• Use and implement library-grade software.
• Ensure clean, efficient coding practices and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with developers to deliver robust solutions.
• Write technical documentation.
