Job summary

PFCC Group is seeking an experienced KDB Developer for its Hong Kong office to join a globally distributed team. You will provide real-time support for the core FX Risk and P&L platform during local trading hours and collaborate with quant, trading and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

The role requires independent work, strong communication, and a pragmatic approach to automation, metrics, builds and testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on KDB/q development experience.
• Knowledge of Python is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React or Angular is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently within a globally distributed team and communicate effectively.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced trading environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support and monitoring for the FX Risk and P&L platform during HK trading hours.
• Develop enhancements and support data engineering workflows in the KDB environment.
• Collaborate with local and global teams to ensure smooth operation and issue resolution.
• Deliver technical enhancements to support local trading desk requirements.
• Contribute to common components, tools, and APIs, with emphasis on automation for metrics, builds, and testing.
