Job summary

Jefferies is seeking a hands‑on technology leader to head the APAC Prime Broker Services Technology team in Hong Kong. You will oversee development, support, and delivery across Cash Prime Brokerage, Synthetic Prime, OTD, and Securities Finance, collaborating with US leadership while owning APAC delivery and production support.

You will mentor a small engineering team, drive architecture decisions, and ensure system reliability and continuous improvement across time zones.

Qualifications

• Well‑rounded development lifecycle experience from analysis and design through production support.
• Significant experience in financial services technology, with direct exposure to prime brokerage, securities finance, or related domains.
• Proven ability to manage and develop small engineering teams while remaining technically hands‑on.
• Strong communication skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 4–6 engineers responsible for application development and production support across four APAC Prime Brokerage lines.
• Serve as a hands‑on technical contributor – designing solutions, reviewing code, and troubleshooting production issues with the team.
• Partner with APAC business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritise initiatives, and deliver new functionality.
• Coordinate with US‑based leadership on architecture decisions, release planning, and shared platform direction.
• Manage production support coverage for APAC hours, ensuring stability and timely incident resolution.
• Mentor and develop team members, balancing workload between new development and support tasks.
• Drive continuous improvement in development practices, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
