Job summary

Pinpoint Asia is sourcing a KDB+/q Production Engineer for a global investment bank in Hong Kong. The role focuses on real-time support, optimization of high-throughput KDB+/q databases, ticker plants, and real-time calculation engines during local trading hours.

You will design data pipelines to support market risk analytics and P&L prediction and collaborate with local teams while coordinating with overseas hubs to ensure seamless operations across time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on KDB+/q in production.
• 5+ years in data engineering, data modeling, and large-scale data analysis.
• Able to work independently under live trading pressure and communicate across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time operational and development coverage during local trading hours.
• Maintain, enhance, and optimize high-throughput KDB+/q databases, ticker plants, and real-time calculation engines.
• Design and execute data engineering pipelines to support market risk analytics and P&L prediction.
• Coordinate with local and overseas distributed engineering teams.
