Job summary

UBS is seeking a Principal Architect with 15+ years of experience in front-office trading technology to provide architectural leadership across trading platforms in Hong Kong. You will govern architecture standards, ARB processes, and ensure alignment with regulatory and resilience requirements.

You will mentor engineering teams, drive scalability, performance, and cloud modernization, and collaborate with risk, security, and operations to deliver robust, low-latency solutions for global markets.

Qualifications

• 15+ years designing, delivering or supporting trading tech in finance.
• Deep understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle and OMS/EMS.

Responsibilities

• Act as principal architecture authority for front-office trading platforms.
• Own architecture standards, roadmaps, governance and artefacts.
• Lead architecture reviews through ARB and governance forums.
• Ensure compliance with security, resilience and regulatory standards.
• Drive architectural simplification, reuse and long-term tech alignment.
• Influence design across OMS, execution platforms, market connectivity, data, risk and trade processing.
• Evaluate solutions for performance, scalability, security and observability.
• Partner with engineering, security, risk and business stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
• Lead capacity planning and performance optimization initiatives.
• Guide cloud adoption, platform modernization and automation.
