Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Limited is seeking an Assistant Vice President (Trading) to lead the architectural design and end-to-end delivery of mission-critical post-trade systems. You will manage a team of developers, drive technical excellence, and deliver secure, resilient, and scalable solutions across the full software development lifecycle, including production support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
10+ years of experience in system design and development.
5+ years in management/tech leadership with delivery ownership.
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
Experience in vendor management and application security is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead solution architecture and system design for high-availability post-trade platforms and services.
Own delivery across the SDLC; manage complex stakeholder groups.
Coordinate resources across internal teams and vendors for multiple workstreams.
Provide engineering leadership on microservices, cloud/container, messaging, and security standards.
Oversee production support, incident management, and continuous improvement for stability/performance.
Translate requirements into robust technical designs and implementation approaches.
