Job summary

Bank of America in Hong Kong seeks a financing lawyer to advise on secured lending, structured financing and debt issuance across Asia‑Pacific. You will work with Asia FX and Rates teams, support deal execution, and manage regulatory and risk considerations in a fast‑paced environment.

The role requires 5–10 years of PQE, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and willingness to operate across multiple APAC jurisdictions, ideally from Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Around 5-10 years of post‑qualification experience at a leading law firm, financial institution or comparable organization.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions in Asia Pacific is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advise on secured lending and structured financing transactions across Asia‑Pacific, including special situations.
• Support structuring, negotiation and execution of complex financing transactions.
• Provide legal advice on debt issuance transactions and SPV programmes.
• Partner with business teams to develop and support new products and transaction structures while managing legal and regulatory risks.
• Advise Asia Fixed Income Sales and Trading on trading, documentation, platform and client solutions initiatives.
• Support facility‑linked hedging and risk‑transfer products over time.
• Advise on legal and regulatory developments affecting financing, derivatives and capital markets in Asia.
• Coordinate with external counsel and internal partners on transaction structuring, negotiation and execution.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and cross‑business projects across Asia Fixed Income.
