Job summary

Selby Jennings in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced professional to originate, structure and execute structured trade finance and working capital solutions for corporate clients across Asia Pacific. You will lead the full deal lifecycle, coordinating with Coverage, Risk, Legal and Operations to deliver successful transactions.

The role requires 8+ years in related fields, a strong track record in financing transactions, and fluency in English with Mandarin advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Law or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in structured trade finance, corporate banking, transaction banking, or related fields.
• Proven track record of structuring and executing complex financing transactions.
• Strong understanding of structured trade finance, working capital solutions, credit analysis and risk management.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Commercially minded with strong client relationship management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Originate, structure and execute structured trade finance and working capital solutions for corporate clients across Asia Pacific.
• Lead transactions through the full deal lifecycle, including analysis, structuring, credit approval and execution.
• Develop tailored financing solutions across receivables finance, inventory finance, borrowing base facilities and other asset-backed structures.
• Prepare client presentations, transaction proposals and credit submissions.
• Partner with Coverage, Risk, Legal, Compliance and Operations teams to deliver successful transactions.
• Build and manage client relationships, identify new opportunities and contribute to revenue growth.
• Negotiate transaction terms and documentation with clients and external counterparties.
• Maintain an active pipeline and monitor market developments impacting trade finance and working capital solutions.
