Job summary

MoneyHero Group is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to head a team of frontend and backend engineers in Hong Kong. You will define architecture, drive AI-assisted development, and ensure high-quality, scalable software delivery.

Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to translate requirements into robust solutions. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, debugging production issues, and maintaining secure, reliable deployments with modern CI/CD

Qualifications

• Expert in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js, with strong experience building full-stack web applications and reusable components.
• Strong grasp of software architecture and design patterns (microservices, event-driven systems, domain-driven design, API design).
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools in production work (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
• Skilled in designing and maintaining microservices and GraphQL APIs for scalable architectures.
• Proficient with SQL databases and NoSQL solutions like MongoDB/Redis, including caching strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of frontend and backend engineers, ensuring high-quality delivery and collaboration across disciplines.
• Own architecture decisions, conduct code reviews, and debug production issues.
• Maintain reliable deployments and work with Product, Design, and Business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Drive AI-assisted development, setting standards for AI-generated code and review practices.
• Provide mentorship and coaching, including pair programming and effective use of AI tools.
• Debug and resolve production incidents, coordinate incident response, and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Plan and prioritize development work, balance workloads, and manage release deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align requirements and feasibility.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitor system health, and enforce security standards.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive tooling/workflow improvements for engineering efficiency.
