Job summary

First Asia Merchants Bullion Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Accountant to handle a full set of accounts for the retail gold and jewelry business, including month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations, and daily accounting tasks.

You will conduct daily reconciliations across sales receipts, POS, credit card settlements, e-payments, and bank statements, coordinate stocktakes, and support document filing, data entry, and vendor payments; proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in Accounting/Finance or related discipline
• 2–3 years of solid accounting experience
• Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English
• Hands-on experience with Sage accounting software; familiarity with ERP or retail POS systems
• Experience in retail, luxury goods, or the gold/jewelry industry preferred
• More experience may lead to Senior Accounting Officer

Job description

This role involves handling a full set of accounts independently for retail gold and jewelry operations, including month-end and year-end closing processes. You will perform daily reconciliations across retail sales receipts, POS records, credit card settlements, e-payment channels, and bank statements to ensure financial accuracy, coordinate regular physical stocktakes, and manage day-to-day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

Handle full set of accounts independently, including month-end and year-end closing processes for retail gold and jewelry operations

Perform daily reconciliations (retail sales receipts, POS records, credit card settlements, e-payment channels, and bank statements) to ensure absolute financial accuracy

Coordinate regular physical stocktake for inventory and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including data verification, document scanning, and systematic filing of retail sales and supplier invoices

Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support, including precise data entry, general filing, cheque issuance, and vendor payment processing

Requirements

Higher Diploma or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, with at least 2 to 3 years of solid accounting experience.

Proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.

Hands-on experience with Sage accounting software is an advantage; familiarity with ERP or retail POS systems is a plus.

Previous working experience in retail, luxury goods, or the gold/jewelry industry is highly preferred.

Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Accounting Officer
