Job summary

Alaya Capital Partners (HK) Limited is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage daily accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, journal entries and GL maintenance in Hong Kong. The role requires a solid grasp of local reporting standards and close collaboration with banks, auditors and tax advisors.

The successful candidate will prepare monthly management accounts and cash flow statements, support year-end processes and help with audit schedules.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or related disciplines.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Familiarity with Hong Kong accounting practices and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Immediate availability preferred.
• Experience in investment holding companies, financial services or fund-related businesses will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor daily bank balances and cash movements.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports and cash flow statements.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax advisors and other external parties.
• Assist in preparing audit schedules, financial statements and tax-related documentation.
• Monitor intercompany transactions and perform intercompany reconciliations.
• Assist in tracking investment transactions, including securities trading, dividend income and investment balances.
• Support fund accounting activities, including NAV reporting and reconciliation, where applicable.
• Handle ad hoc accounting, finance and administrative duties as assigned.
