Job summary

Guotai Haitong Financial Holdings Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our finance team as a Senior Accountant. The role covers monitoring and reconciling transactions, positions and valuation, and supporting daily accounting operations.

You will prepare consolidated monthly management reports, liaise with HQ, regulators, banks, auditors and other parties, and participate in system enhancements.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance/Accounting is required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
• Member of Accounting Professional organization (HKICPA/ACCA) preferred.
• Experience in sizable CPA firms is required; commercial experience is a plus.
• Strong Excel skills; SUN or YonYou accounting systems knowledge is advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of equities, fixed income and derivatives is beneficial.
• Fluent in English and Putonghua; good interpersonal skills.

Job description

1. Monitor and reconcile investment transactions, positions and valuation on a regular basis.

2. Handle daily accounting operations, including system data entries, document filings and checks to ensure smooth operation.

3. Participate in subsidiary management from the perspective of financing planning and reporting, etc.

4. Responsible for the implementation and enhancement of finance and accounting systems.

5. Prepare consolidated reports and presentation materials for monthly management reporting.

6. Assist in reporting to the Headquarter and regulatory authorities as required.

7. Liaise with other departments, business units, banks, brokers, custodian, auditors and other parties as needed.

8. Handle ad hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

1. University degree in Finance /Accounting or related discipline.

2. Member of Accounting Professional organization (e.g. HKICPA, ACCA) is preferable.

3. 5 years or above experience in accounting field, preferable in financial services industry.

4. Experience in sizable CPA firms is required, preferable to have commercial experience.

5. Good PC skills with strong knowledge in excel, experience in SUN or YonYou accounting system is an advantage.

6. Sound knowledge in equities, fixed income and derivative products is an advantage.

7. Proficient in written and spoken English and Putonghua.

8. Committed, responsible, self-initiative and with sound interpersonal skills.
