Job summary

HKT in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Group Finance accounting team. You will support month-end closing, prepare management reports and analyses, and contribute to forecasting and the annual operating plan, as well as assist with audits and tax filings.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in accounting or finance with professional accounting qualifications, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and strong English and Chinese communication skills.

Job description

The successful candidate will work in our accounting team in Group Finance. S/he will be responsible for:

• Provide accounting support to business units on month-end closing, management reports preparation and analysis, forecasting, annual operating plan as well as audit and tax return filing


• Support Capex and investment cases review and ad hoc financial projects


• Work with colleagues from different departments and liaise with external auditors

To succeed in this role

• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or other related discipline with qualification in professional accounting body


• At least 5 years' relevant working experience


• Good organizational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills


• Independence and ability to work under pressure and tight deadline


• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese


• Full familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is necessary


• Prior experience in Oracle accounting system will be an advantage
