Job summary

Gfi World is seeking an Accountant to handle daily accounts payable, prepare vouchers and schedules, and manage staff reimbursements. The role also requires reviewing bank balances and assisting with audit schedules, under deadlines.

Ideal candidate has a Finance/Accounting degree and at least 3 years of accounting experience. SAP/ERP experience is a plus; strong communication in English and Chinese, and proficiency in MS Office are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or Accounting required.
• At least 3 years accounting/finance experience.
• Experience with SAP or ERP is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• English & Chinese proficiency in writing and speaking.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Reporting to the Director, Accounting & Finance, your main responsibilities will be to:

• Perform daily accounting duties mainly related to account payable function
• Prepare payment vouchers, payment schedules and proposals in a timely manner
• Handle reimbursement of expenses, including petty cash to staff
• Perform daily banks balances review and monthly banks reconciliations
• Prepare monthly and yearly audit schedules
• Support ad hoc accounting and internal control assignments as required

The successful candidate will be:

• Degree holder in Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines
• At least 3 years accounting / finance experience
• Experience in SAP or ERP operation is an advantage
• Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Independent, proactive and detail-minded
• Able to meet tight deadline and work under pressure
• Good command of both written and spoken English & Chinese
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and Chinese Word Processing
